Dodge is an Australia Awards Scholar currently pursuing a Master of Genome Analytics at Monash University. He joins the Integrative Microbiome Sciences Lab with more than a decade of experience in public health research, serving as a Science Research Specialist at the National Tuberculosis Reference Laboratory of the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM; Philippines).
His primary research focuses on the application of next-generation sequencing to combat infectious diseases. Specifically, Dodge investigates the phylogenetic and functional diversity, transmission dynamics, and drug resistance patterns of Mycobacterium tuberculosis as it shifts in time and space. As a member of the Asia PGI TB Genomics Expert Working Group, he aims to generate high-impact genomic data that informs policy decisions and improves public health outcomes in the fight against tuberculosis.
